mkvmlinuz software package provides create a kernel to boot a PowerPC machine from Open Firmware, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mkvmlinuz
mkvmlinuz is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mkvmlinuz package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mkvmlinuz *
You will get with mkvmlinuz package name, version, architecture and description in a table
